After the overwhelming response from the MCM Production "Beat of the Barrel" performance, Cracker Barrel again approached the ensemble to put together an encore performance for their 2007 Manager's Meeting.
MCM Productions was challenged with topping the performance from the previous year while sticking to the concept of utilizing Cracker Barrel items as "instruments". The production was to be a continuation of the previous year's "Beat of the Barrel" concept to tie into the overall meeting theme.
The title "And the Beat Goes On" was chosen for the meeting theme to tie directly into the previous year's performance. To help drive more energy and excitement, the MCM Productions designers decided to explore new and unique instrumentation, more movement, vertically mounted instruments, and more. A custom backing drum track was utilized to give the piece a more modern and industrial feel.
Jessica Moellendorf, Operations Communications Specialist for Cracker Barrel said, "Everyone attending the event was extremely impressed...(MCM Productions) once again opened our conference with excitement, entertainment, and enthusiasm."
